McCann Erickson has appointed Tracy Lovatt as media planning director, in an extension of the agencies media department. Lovatt will work in conjuction with Mike Yershon, who took on the role of media director with the company nine months ago and immediately initiated structural changes.
Persil has set up a £1m sponsorship deal to back a fitness campaign for children, called Persil Funfit. The scheme will target three to 11-year olds and was organised by the British Amateur Gymnastics Association. The sponsorship deal was set up by Alan Pascoe Associates, the sports sponsor- ship consultancy.
