Ad Net Zero and trade bodies the AA, the IPA and ISBA have invited the UK advertising and media community to travel to Cannes Lions by train to save on carbon emissions.
A return train from London St Pancras to Cannes emits 30 times less carbon dioxide than a return flight from London City airport to Nice (10.76kg of CO2e vs 342kg CO2e).
UK adlanders attending Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity can book a place on “The Advertising Express” which leaves London St Pancras at 12.24pm on Sunday 18 June, with the return journey leaving Cannes at 11.33am on Saturday 24 June.
