Simon Lonsdale becomes Dunnhumby strategy director

Simon Lonsdale will join Dunnhumby as strategy director from Tesco.

Lonsdale (pictured, main image) had spent more than two years at Tesco as retail media lead and posted his job move on LinkedIn, adding he was looking forward to working on the continued growth of the Tesco Media and Insights platform.

This comes as Nick Ashley announced last week that he was leaving his role as head of media at Tesco to join sister company Dunnhumby as UK managing director.

Like Ashley, Lonsdale has held previous roles at WPP media agency Mindshare.

Dunnhumby, founded by Edwina Dunn and Clive Humby, helped Tesco establish the Clubcard loyalty scheme (pictured, main image) in 1994 and is now a global data science consultancy that is wholly owned by Tesco.
