YouTube names Lomax managing director for UK&I
In brief

Alison Lomax has been named managing director for YouTube UK and Ireland.

Lomax, who announced the news in a LinkedIn post, replaces Ben McOwen Wilson, who moved to managing director EMEA for Google Play in August.

Lomax has worked at Google, YouTube’s parent company, since 2011 in various executive positions. Most recently, she was managing director, finance, automotive, marketplaces & travel.

In her new role, she will be tasked with liaising with government and policymakers to ensure YouTube continues to improve its online safety efforts, and forging and maintaining partnerships in the creator economy in the region.
