US Magazine Advertising Rises 7% In October

US magazine advertising revenues rose by 6.8% during October, to reach $1.8 billion, according to the latest figures from the Publishers Information Bureau (PIB).

Advertising page volumes, on the other hand, were down by 3.2% year on year. In the year to date, ad revenues were up by 8.7% at $14.7 billion, whilst ad pages dipped just 0.2%.

The PIB says that concerns over the war and economy affected advertisers’ confidence during the summer, when most of the decisions for October’s advertising would have been made.
