UKTV has appointed Tim Bertioli as director of media services, a role with responsibility for delivering the strategy of the broadcaster’s channel operations.
Reporting to parent company BBC Studios’ executive vice-president global operations Nicola Greaves, Bertioli will lead a 50-strong staff across five technology and operations teams when he starts in January.
He has spent the past six years at VICE Media Group, with his current role holding responsibility for global media operations and technology functions, and has previously worked at Viacom (now Paramount) for MTV and NBCUniversal, leading engineering, infrastructure, and development teams.
