OOH ad revenue up 79% in UK

Ad revenue growth for the UK out-of-home (OOH) industry surged by 79% for the first six months of 2022, latest estimates have shown, as the sector recovers from Covid-19 restrictions.

Outsmart, the trade body for outdoor in the UK, reported OOH grew to £529m in the first half of this year. Growth was almost identical in scale across classic OOH (up 80%) and digital (up 79%).

For the second quarter of 2022, OOH ad revenues increased by 46% year on year to £289.

Digital accounted for 62% of total OOH revenue in H1 2022.
