London-Brighton charity cycle back for fifth year

Now in its fifth year, the London to Brighton Sea Change for Mental Health Cycle will take place on 19 May 2023.

Since 2019 the annual 62-mile cycle trip from London’s Marble Arch to Brighton Pier has raised more than £80,000 for the media and advertising industry.

This year the initiative hopes to raise £60,000 with all of the rider entry fees going to charities NABS and UnderOneSky.

Sue Todd, CEO, NABS, told The Media Leader: “NABS rely on donations, and particularly fundraising activities, to help us fund our mission — namely advancing the mental wellness of everybody in our industry. We’re delighted and grateful that the London to Brighton Sea Change for Mental Health Cycle will be raising essential funds again for us once more. Good luck and huge thanks to everyone who’ll be getting in the saddle for us.”

There will be relay, half-distance and bike hire options to make the initiative more accessible, and the route will include coffee to start the day, a catered lunch stop, luggage transfer and a finish line party with an open bar and pizza.

PHD, Canopy Media, Captify, Havas, Total Media, Teamspirit, RTL Ad Connect, Mail Metro Media, Active International, AIP Media, the IPA, UnderOneSky and Craft Media are among the companies signed up to take part.
