Google veteran Mark Howe to retire

Mark Howe, managing director for EMEA agencies at Google, will retire after 17 years at the tech giant.

Howe joined as country sales director in 2006, before becoming managing director of agency sales for North and Central Europe in 2011, and finally managing director for EMEA agencies in 2016.

He has worked in the advertising industry for over 40 years, with roles in television and Google advertising.

In a LinkedIn post he said he has had “a long enough career” and would be heading for “some form of semi-retirement”.

Google was contacted for comment but there has been no announcement about his replacement.
