Channel 4 launches ‘modern Britain’ idents for rebrand

In brief

The Channel 4 brand is a “companion” to guide viewers through a world of limitless video content.

That’s the broadcaster’s message within a series of idents promoting Channel 4’s rebrand, created by its in-house creative agency 4 Creative. The idents launch as a combined film, narrated by writer John Joseph Holt, after Hollyoaks today at 6.55pm.

The recently refreshed Channel 4 logo is the central axis of each film. Each portray “modern Britain”: an urban fox taking refuge in a decaying telephone box, a group of teenagers on the last day of school, a “frozen moment of a Friday night” and a celebration of the Zoroastrian New Year.
