Head of US digital journalism at the BBC, Saeed Ahmed, announced the intended expansion on both Twitter and LinkedIn earlier this week. He implored writers, editors, homepage and social producers, and designers to reach out to him personally if interested in work. The news comes as major news outlet CNN announced cuts to staff.
