Bauer to expand in Ireland with iRadio acquisition

Bauer Media Audio has entered into an agreement to acquire iRadio, a youth music station which broadcasts in the West, North West, North East & Midlands regions of Ireland.

With the finalisation of this deal, which is subject to customary closing conditions like regulatory approval, Bauer Media Audio will reach more than 61 million listeners across nine countries every week.

iRadio is the most listened to station for the 15-44 age demographic across the 15 counties it covers.

Since 2021 Bauer Media Audio has made several acquisitions in Ireland including Cork’s Red FM, Today FM, Newstalk, 98 FM, Spin 1038 and Spin Southwest.
