Bauer Media has raised £1m to support grassroots sports organisations around the UK.
The Cash for Kids Sports Challenge encouraged local community sports groups to take part in a fundraising competition which was aimed to help inspire the next generation of athletes by improving access and opportunities to sporting groups for disadvantaged children and young people.
Each sporting group kept all of the cash they raised and could win up to £5,000 in additional funding from Cash for Kids. There were also £500 prizes for best use of social media and most creative fundraising.
