Jay Shetty takes over Piccadilly Lights for World Mental Health Day

Mindfulness campaigner and podcaster Jay Shetty took over Piccadilly Lights digital out-of-home screen with a message for World Mental Health Day.

Shetty, also chief purpose officer at meditation app Calm, broadcast a message of solidarity acknowledging that everyone struggles with mental health for 10 minutes at 8am and 8pm yesterday.

Passersby could scan a QR code to got a specific episode of his popular podcast On Purpose with Jay Shetty. In the featured episode, Jay spoke to clinical psychologist Dr Julie Smith about unblocking negative emotions and how to embrace difficult feelings.

Shetty said he hoped this would encourage more people to start conversations at home, in the workplace and amongst friends about mental health.
