Alisa Bowen has become president of Disney+ with immediate effect.
Prior to this role, Buckley worked as executive vice president for global business solutions for Disney+ since its launch in 2019.
She will continue to report to Michael Paull, president, direct to consumer, Disney Media Entertainment & Distribution, and be based in Los Angeles.
Regional leaders for Disney+ will report in to Bowen and she will work closely with leaders across The Walt Disney Company to drive continued innovation, including the imminent launch of an ad-supported tier on the platform, and multi-channel support for Disney+.
Disney+ currently has 152.1 million subscriptions across 154 markets worldwide according to its last quarterly results.
