Progressive People launches for digital media recruitment

Progressive People, a digital media and marketing talent agency and executive search practice has launched for the UK digital media sector.

Headed up by Keith Rattray (top right), founder of digital recruitment agency dot-gap, and Scott Deutrom (top left), former MD of advertising at Immediate Media and CRO at ESI Media, Progressive People features 40-years of experience in leading and evolving high-performance digital teams through periods of significant change.

To kick-start the launch, Progressive People surveyed over 1,000 senior executives to discover that 62% have changed commercial strategy in the past year and just under half of those have now adapted their hiring plans as a result.

Identifying culturally matched senior talent is their largest recruitment challenge, narrowly ahead of improving diversity within their senior team.

“It’s clear that the pandemic has materially impacted the direction of travel and hiring priorities for many digital commercial businesses in the UK,” Rattray said. “There are still significant challenges ahead for these businesses, not least from Google’s stance on 3rd party cookies and the further polarisation of revenue to the large pure-play platforms.

“Progressive People is launching at significant time for the UK digital media industry and is committed to helping firms address these challenges, through best in class talent sourcing utilising our considerable leadership experience and network of contacts.”
