The Qatar World Cup Final between France and Argentina attracted a combined average audience of 11.83 million across BBC One and ITV.

According to overnight data from BARB, BBC One netted an average of 9.15 million viewers aged 4+, and ITV SD and HD took a combined average of 2.68 million viewers.

Viewing peaked at 14.93 million on BBC One at 5.50pm as the match went to penalties; combined peak viewing on ITV SD and HD was 4.34 million.

BBC One took the highest share of viewing with 51.9% while ITV HD and SD took a combined 15.7% share.

These figures do not include viewing on other devices, streaming or time-shifted viewing on BBC iPlayer, ITVX or +1 channels.
