News Corp has named Emma Tucker the next editor-in-chief of The Wall Street Journal and Dow Jones Newswires.

She succeeds Matt Murray, who has served as editor-in-chief of the Journal since 2018. He will take on a new role overseeing “several critical growth projects supporting News Corp”.

Tucker, an English journalist, has worked as editor of The Sunday Times since 2020, and before that as deputy editor of The Times.
