Time Inc UK secures first TV commission for BBC Three

Time Inc. UK’s recently launched TV production arm, TI Productions UK, has secured its first commission – a 30 minute documentary for BBC Three.

Due to air on 16 July, Stacey Dooley Investigates: Kids Selling Drugs Online will follow the documentary-maker as she ventures undercover into the widespread selling of drugs using social media in Britian – aiming to shed light on how easy it is for children and young teens to obtain Class A drugs through social platforms.

The BBC’s current affairs commissioning editor, Gian Quaglieni, who commissioned the programme, said: “This documentary is a timely undercover investigation into the widespread selling of drugs using social media. It reveals the underground world of these digital drug dealers. It’s an important story for BBC Three.”

Mistrati, executive producer of TI Productions UK, added: “We knew that through our connections and experience as a magazine publisher we’d be able to unlock some compelling stories, but securing such a high profile first commission is an incredible achievement.

“We are delighted to be working with Stacey on such a hard-hitting, challenging story.”

TI Productions UK was launched in 2016 as an in-house TV production arm focused on creating quality factual programming for major UK broadcasters.
