Sky Media’s Lucy Bristowe moves to Kantar Media

Kantar Media, the global audience measurement and data company, has appointed Lucy Bristowe as CEO for the UK and Western Europe.

Bristowe will take over the role in June from Louise Ainsworth, who is stepping down after six years.

She was most recently director of insight and research at Sky Media, where she has been for 19 years. Before that, Bristowe was head of research at Channel 4.

Bristowe has been heavily involved in the development of CFlight, the UK’s first unified TV advertising metric delivering “total campaign reporting” on linear and VOD services. CFlight, operated by Barb, now includes 14 most-used traded audiences.

She is a member of The Media Leader‘s inaugural Top 50 Women Gamechangers in TV and has also served as a board member on TV joint industry committees (JICs) Barb and TAM Ireland.

At Kantar Media, she will work closely with JICs, buyers and sellers of content and advertising to lead the company’s cross-platform and cross-media measurement services in the UK, the Netherlands, Switzerland and Israel.

Bristowe will report to global CEO Patrick Béhar, who was Sky Media CEO until September 2023.

Béhar said: “I am delighted that Lucy is to join us. I know from my own experience that her infectious passion and sharp strategic outlook on the future of measurement will strengthen our industry leadership position and cement our deep partnership with clients, fulfilling their long-term strategies as we expand our services across platforms and media.”

Bristowe added: “There is huge momentum from clients around the world towards measuring across platforms and media. I look forward to working in partnership with clients to unlock more innovation that can help shape our partnership and advance their strategy forward.”
