Revamp For Children’s ITV

The ITV Network is currently on the look-out for two presenters to be the new faces of Children’s ITV.

From the end of May, the station’s current graphic style of presentation will be replaced by a new team who will guide young viewers through what’s happening on CITV. It is hoped that two presenters will be found who have never yet been on TV.

The new package to be launched by ITV will be a single show, run from 3:25pm to 5:10pm, which ties together all the strands of CITV’s programming. The programme will be broadcast from a specially built set in Birmingham and there will also be a heavy reliance on outside broadcasts.

Nigel Pickard, controller of children’s programmes at the ITV Network Centre said: “I want CITV to be interactive, pro-active and a live event every day. We are looking for presenters who are absolutely in touch with the kids of today.”
