Radio Revenue Final Quarter 1992

Radio Revenue Final Quarter 1992

Radio revenue in the final quarter of 1992 was up by 8.8% year-on-year to £38.4m. This brings commercial radio revenue for the whole of 1992 to £134.2m, an increase of 5.9% on 1991. The healthy figure for the final quarter of 1992 can be partly attributed to the launch of Classic FM at the end of September.

Radio revenue refers only to advertising revenue and takes no account of sponsorship. The Association of Independent Radio Contractors believes sponsorship to be the fastest growing area of radio revenue.
