Q4 RAJAR 1998 – London Stations

The Q4 RAJAR figures released today have thrown up a rather mixed batch of results in the London Stations sector, showing some sharp increases in weekly reach, but also some substantial falls. Choice FM showed the largest proportional rise in weekly reach, rising 27.9%, taking its total weekly reach up to 261,000.

Capital 95.8FM is still dominating the sector in terms of weekly reach. Although it dropped 1.9% of its reach and 0.9 percentage points of its share of listening, it still towers over even its closest competitors with an average weekly reach of 2.8 million.

Magic FM, which was previously Melody FM (see Newsline), fared very well in this quarter’s figures, and saw a 24.9% rise in its weekly reach, taking its total up to 1.2 million. The station saw a 1 percentage point rise in its share of listening.
