PubMatic and Reckitt join Ad Net Zero Global Group
In brief

PubMatic and Reckitt have joined the Ad Net Zero Global Group, the industry alliance that encourages advertisers to commit to a carbon-reduction plan in their marketing and media activities.

The Global Group, launched during this year’s Cannes Lions, is tasked with exploring how the industry can determine a consistent and robust framework for the measurement and management of greenhouse gas emissions from media, which account for about 55% of the emissions from advertising operations according to WPP estimates.

Reckitt’s global media director Craig Fryer will also chair a working group.

Existing members of the Global Group include the world’s major advertising agency holding companies, Dentsu International, Havas, Interpublic Group, Omnicom, Publicis Groupe and WPP, as well as Unilever, Google, Meta, Sky, US trade bodies the ANA and the 4A’s, the IAB, and the WFA.
