Primesight names new sales lead ahead of LinkUK launch

James Power will become Primesight’s new head of sales, it has been announced.

In the newly-created role Power will lead all sales activity ahead of the launch of LinkUK later this year and will report to manging director Matt Teeman.

Power has served as Primesight’s business director since May 2016. He has also held director-level positions for the past nine years at companies including JCDecaux and Imagine Publishing.

“The launch of LinkUK and the addition of BT payphones will see a seismic shift in the capability of our portfolio. We want agencies and brands to take advantage of the opportunities that these products will create to reach desirable audiences,” said Teeman.

“James has a wealth of experience and we’ve promoted him to lead the conversation with commercial partners on the potential these ventures bring.”

Power added: “It’s an exciting time to be at a company that is expanding its coverage of the UK with the addition of BT payphones and working on initiatives such as LinkUK.”

“I look forward to working closely with our commercial partners to bring these products to life.”

LinkUK is a joint venture between BT and Primesight which will provide free Wi-Fi, calls and phone charging services on state-of-the-art digital advertising kiosks.

Upto 100 Links – with 55-inch digital ad displays – are expected to be installed in the London Borough of Camden – with the first ones due to appear in 2017.

At least 750 Links will be installed across central London and in major cities across the UK over the next few years. London is second only to New York in bringing Links to its streets, which were first installed in January this year as part of LinkNYC.
