Northern & Shell’s March launch, OK! magazine, has shown considerable sales potential and will change from a monthly to a fortnightly later this year, it has been revealed. The publishing company is claiming first issue sales of 350,000 copies with the May edition following close behind it.
Already in competition with celebrity magazine, Hello, which has a current circulation of 487,704 (ABC Jul-Dec 1992), OK is now seeking to increase the pressure although sources believe it will have to lower its cover price (£1.95) if it is to survive as a fortnightly title.
