Noel Edmonds and the top rating Saturday show Noel’s House Party, has chosen to stay with the BBC having been offered a “competitive” financial deal to prevent a move to ITV.
The deal comes just over a week after a similar offer to French & Saunders, who have signed a £2m contract with the BBC tying them to the Corporation for five years.
Noel’s House Party attracts an average weekly audience of 13.3million (49% share) making it an attractive option for competing channels.
