Comedian Chris Rock is set to be the first artist to perform live on Netflix with a new stand-up comedy special.
It will be Rock’s second Netflix special, following Chris Rock: Tamborine (2018).
The live show is an expansion of Netflix’s forays into comedic live events; the streaming giant previously hosted a live in-person comedy festival, Netflix is a Joke: The Festival, which played host to 336 comedians at over 35 venues across Los Angeles in May and June of this year.
The live comedy special is set to stream globally “in early 2023”.
