Mohr appointed as Bauer Media Audio president

Bauer Media’s finance chief Vivian Mohr has been appointed as Richard Dawkins’s replacement at Bauer Media Audio.

Mohr has left his role as chief financial officer and chief operating officer of the Online Comparison Platforms business of Bauer Media Group to take on the job of president of Bauer Media Audio.

In his new role, he has been tasked with driving the transformation of the Audio business, based on two key elements: building “the world’s best and most efficient business in traditional radio”, while simultaneously building a “sustainable future”.

Prior to joining Bauer in February 2022, Vivian accrued over 10 years’ of hands-on experience leading organisations through complex situations and driving transformational change while at consulting giant McKinsey and Swiss media operators.

Yvonne Bauer, CEO of BMG, said: “Vivian has most recently demonstrated his skills in strategy development and in the successful merger with Netrisk Group in the OCP business. In taking on the role of President BA Audio, Vivian is, in a way, returning to his roots in media strategy and performance management. He led the integration of two of Switzerland’s largest radio chains, supported bolt-on acquisitions of regional stations and managed the landmark acquisition of the country’s largest private TV broadcaster.”

Commenting on the appointment, Mohr added: “[I]t will be an inspiring challenge to set up and implement a transnational and future-oriented strategy together with the talented Audio teams.”
