Mark Wright, Sir Martin Sorrell and Love Island star to speak at The Future of Media

Former TOWIE star Mark Wright, industry royalty Sir Martin Sorrell, and Love Island contestant-turned-social influencer Michael Griffiths are among the latest headline speakers for next month’s Future of Media event.

Wright will feature alongside InterTalent Rights Group Chairman, Professor Jonathan Shalit, as they discuss their views on the ever-changing media terrain, with Yogi Patel, managing partner, LEAD Talent.

Sir Martin, the founder of WPP and his latest venture S4 Capital, will discuss whether today’s agencies are set up to deliver client needs in Media 3.0.

Griffiths, meanwhile, will open up the exclusive session for the Future 100 Club Class of 2023.

The Future of Media takes place in Convene, London, on 11-12 October.

The road to Media 3.0

The Future of Media, The Media Leader’s flagship conference with Adwanted Events, will host multiple insightful sessions based on seven distinct themes happening across three stages over two days. More than 100 speakers from media owners, media agencies, brand marketing teams and specialists will help us deliver more than 20 hours of exceptional content.

The agenda is focused on “The Road to Media 3.0 — how do we get there?” We will look for answers and solutions on how to thrive in the transition to the Media 3.0 era, including making the most of the emerging channels buoyed by strong advertiser sentiment and investment, such as commerce media, connected TV, digital out-of-home, podcasts and short-form video platforms.

Last year’s Future of Media featured Carolyn McCall, CEO of ITV, who spoke directly to advertisers and fellow media owners about the upcoming launch of streaming platform ITVX. Jill Scott, the champion womens’ footballer and I’m A Celebrity… star, also spoke about the representation of women in sport and media, while Daily Mirror editor Alison Phillips chaired a Future of News session.

The Future of Media Leaders’ debates will also return. For the first time last year, The Media Leader‘s editor Omar Oakes hosted debates with leading figures from across the industry to mandate this publication to champion three of the most important topics in media today. These were trust, talent and sustainability.

Key sessions this year include:

  • Leading from the front: How to deliver Media 3.0?

  • Are agencies set up to deliver future client needs?

  • Shifting focus: Data and measurement in Media 3.0

  • Panel: Can everything be a media network?

  • Do some channels just work better together?

  • Will AR and MR fundamentally change how we engage with TV?
