ITV nets peak 20 million viewers for England vs Senegal

ITV attracted a peak of 20.4 million viewers on linear and streaming for England’s win against Senegal on Sunday.

ITV says this was the biggest peak audience of 2022 on a single network.

The average linear audience watching the full match was 18.4 million viewers and the coverage between 6pm and 9.30pm garnered a 61% share of viewing.

A total of 10.8 million people livestreamed the match on ITVX or ITV Hub, marking the biggest streaming audience for the World Cup so far.

England will play France in the quarter final on 10 December with live coverage on ITV and ITVX starting at 6pm.
