Future Publishing chairman to step down

The board of Future Publishing has announced that Peter Allen will step down as chairman after six years in the role.

He will withdraw from the role at the board’s next annual general meeting in February 2018, and a new process will take place to find his successor.

“I have been Chairman of Future for over six years,” Allen said.

“During that time the company has had to confront a hugely challenging market place and has now come through as a significantly changed business, well positioned to offer value growth to shareholders.”

Zillah Byng-Thorne, CEO at Future PLC added: “On behalf of everyone at Future, I would like to thank Peter for the contribution he has made toward the success of Future during the transformation of the business to a global platform for specialist media.”

“His experience and guidance, along with his commitment to the success of Future, has been invaluable.”
