Dentsu merges Japan and international teams in global restructure

Dentsu International reported 8.4% organic growth in its latest quarterly earnings.

Excluding Russia, the organic rate of growth would be 9.2%, and for the nine months to 30 September it delivered 7.6% organic growth compared to the same period last year.

By region, the Americas posted 0.7% organic revenue growth in Q3 2022, EMEA 9.2% growth and APAC, excluding Japan, 5.2%.

Looking forward, the Dentsu group expects 4 to 5% organic growth for the full year 2022, and “retains confidence” in the same rate of organic growth until the full year 2024.

Dentsu also announced a new integrated global management structure, called One Dentsu, in line with its intention to integrate Dentsu International and Dentsu Japan Network into a single organisation around the world from 1 January 2023.

As part of the restructure, Peter Huijboom has become CEO for media and international markets, and will lead the media arm of the international organisation, including its three major agency brands, Carat, iProspect and Dentsu X. He was previously global CEO media and global clients.

The new group management team will be led by president and CEO Hiroshi Igarashi and include 36 members in total, and 21 people with executive responsibility.
