Clear Channel Outdoor retains Sainsbury’s contract

Sainsburys

Clear Channel Outdoor UK has retained the contract to sell advertising at Sainsbury’s stores across the UK.

The new long-term deal will see CCO increase its point of sale estate by 50%. CCO and Sainsbury’s have worked in partnership since 1998.

Rob Atkinson, managing director at COO UK, said: “Our 1,800 6-sheet panels located directly outside Sainsbury’s stores currently deliver flexible campaigns for our customers moments before crucial purchase decisions are made.

“Our new agreement will see a significant increase in our panel numbers with the option of further increasing the plant as Sainsbury’s grows its supermarket store presence nationwide.”

Avishai Moor, Sainsbury’s new business development manager, said: “This new agreement forms part of our plan to develop a first class retail media portfolio that engages our customers and helps them to make informed choices when they shop in our stores.

“We look to partner with the best media companies in the market, so it was only natural for us to continue our long term relationship with Clear Channel.”
