Clear Channel Site Clear Channel is set to roll-out a number of new digital screens in UK shopping centres by Christmas – adding six new centres to its shopping portfolio.

The new screens are part of the first phase of a wider shopping centre digital roll-out, which includes the Westfield shopping centres at Merry Hill and Dudley – worth at least £5 million over eight years.

Clear Channel’s £2 million investment into UK shopping centres comes as part of the 10-year relationship between Clear Channel Outdoor and Vision Media Group.

Vision Media Group will provide the digital technology to Clear Channel under the deal, which includes new 65 inch HD screens that can show static and moving ads.

The new units will also feature an interactive store guide to help shoppers navigate through centres, which will be operated by Clear Channel.

Rob Atkinson, managing director of Clear Channel, said the quality, locations and timing of the new digital screens has exceeded expectations.

Clear Channel’s digital build programme is expected to continue through next year.
