CBS’s entertainment division head Kelly Kahl has informed employees he will leave the company. Parent company Paramount’s programming executive Thom Sherman also plans to step down.
Both departures were announced in an internal email to staff, as reported by The New York Times.
Kahl will be replaced by EVP of current programs at CBS Amy Reisenbach.
Separately, Paramount is reportedly expected to lay off fewer than 100 employees based in Los Angeles and New York City.
Paramount’s ad sales division has been undergoing transition under new head John Halley.
