Texaco has confirmed that it is to sponsor ITV’s coverage of Formula One Grand Prix racing. The sponsorship deal starts on March 9th and will run for two years at a cost of £4 million a year, with an option for an additional year.
The sponsorship deal is the second motor racing tie-in to feature the oil company, the first being the on-screen sponsor for ITV’s coverage of the IndyCar racing in 1994.
