Adam Freeman

Adam Freeman was appointed as Director, Consumer Media at Guardian News & Media in November 2009 following a two and a half year career as the company's Commercial Director. During this time, he also took on the role as General Manager, Digital and has been closely involved for some years in the growth and success of guardian.co.uk and guardianjobs. He has been a member of the GNM board since September 2006 and his remit is to manage all consumer focused commercial activities. These include display advertising sales, newspaper sales, marketing, customer insight and reader offers, along with the P&L performance of the Guardian, Observer and guardian.co.uk. Adam also spent 2 years as the sales and marketing director of online retailer, eMagazineshop.com and is a member of the AOP, IAB and NMA boards. His interests outside work include coaching rugby, gadgets and generally trying to keep up with his family. His motto is ‘don’t take yourself too seriously because no one else does…’
