Sky launches first 3D outdoor roadside campaign

Broadcaster Sky will run 3D creative across UK roadside out-of-home sites for the first time.

This is a new digital large format product offering from Global, the audio and outdoor media owner, which sees Sky using 3D anamorphic designs to advertise its dishless TV product and package, Sky Stream.

The 3D designs will run nationwide this summer across Global’s “A-list network” of high quality digital billboard sites including the Hammersmith Towers and Holborn Eye (pictured).

This technique is available across Global’s outdoor estate including airports, National Rail train stations, the London Underground, as well as roadside.

Chris Forrester, director of commercial for outdoor at Global said: “The 3D anamorphic technique creates impactful, visually impressive campaigns and it’s now easier and more affordable than ever to execute them at scale, in multiple environments.”

The campaign was planned and booked by out-of-home specialist agency Rapport.

This comes after Global and Transport for London used 3D on its tube network for the first time with bagel brand New York Bagels in May.
