Zaslav calls TV ad market ‘weak’
In brief

Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav described the TV advertising market as “very weak” in an interview this week with a Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) Capital Markets analyst.

He said that the market is “weaker than it was during Covid”, which would amount to “a pretty big miss for the whole Christmas season”. Though, he added, “change could come quickly”.

Zaslav also addressed the company’s recent underperforming financials, candidly referring to recent cost-cutting measures by saying that “it looks messy, and it is messy”, but added that he was optimistic about the performance of IPs like DC.
