Uber has launched an advertising division revealing several ad formats for advertisers.

A total of 40 brands, including NBCUniversal and Heineken, have partnered with Uber to run Journey Ads which are shown to consumers waiting for their driver and during their trip.

Sponsored listings, sponsored emails, homepage billboards, post check-out ads, storefront ads, in menu ads, out-of-home car top ads and a tablet advertising pilot will also form part of the inventory available.

Uber has 122 million monthly active users and has said it will use its first-party data and insights to offer closed-loop attribution.
