Ocean Outdoor and LandVault launch metaverse DOOH package

Digital out of home media owner Ocean Outdoor has partnered with LandVault (formerly Admix) to launch a cross-platform metaverse out of home package, with UK&I retailer Argos as the launch brand partner.

Ocean’s metaverse collection contains 45 digital billboards in 3D VR worlds Somnium Space and Decentraland.

Screens occupy high traffic “key locations” such as virtual conference centres, disco clubs, concert halls, and popular metaverse gaming zones such as Decentral Games. Ad placements are all natively integrated with the venues, enabling both brand advertising spots and the “teleportation” of visitors to the advertiser’s venues.

Using LandVault’s In-Play technology, Ocean’s virtual billboards synchronise with the creative displayed on their real-world DOOH counterparts, providing a link to the core Ocean product and the wider addressable market.

Argos’ “dual world” campaign has also appeared on Ocean’s Holland Park Roundabout tri screen in London, alongside an NFT replica of the same billboard inside Somnium Space. It will also run in roadside locations in Birmingham and Manchester until 23 October.
