NFL and Amazon Prime Video launch ‘Black Friday’ game
In brief

Amazon and the National Football League (NFL) have announced a new “Black Friday” game in 2023.

It will be broadcast exclusively on Amazon Prime Video, in an expansion of Amazon’s current Thursday Night Football deal with the league.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell did not commit to hosting the game beyond 2023, but said the league does not usually “do things for one year.”

Thursday Night Football is averaging 10.8 million viewers, according to Nielsen Media Research, and is up +48% from the first five TNF games in 2021 among viewers in the hard-to-reach adult 18-34 demographic, and up +25% in adults 18-49.
