Netflix’s ‘Wednesday’ sets English-language viewing hours record

Netflix’s new Addams Family-inspired series, Wednesday, has broken the streaming company’s English-language record for total viewing hours in its debut week.
Wednesday scored 341.23 million total hours viewed, the streaming company reported, adding that over 50 million households have “seen the series”.
It breaks the record sets earlier this year by Stranger Things 4, which reached 335 million hours in its first full week.
Netflix’s overall record holder remains Squid Game, which reached 571.8 million total viewing hours during its peak week.
The comedy series features Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams, alongside a cast including Gwendoline Christie, Riki Lindhome, and Christina Ricci.
