Nawaz and Bennett named co-anchors of PBS NewsHour

PBS NewsHour chief correspondent Amna Nawaz and chief Washington correspondent and PBS News Weekend anchor Geoff Bennett have been named co-anchors of PBS NewsHour.

They replace Judy Woodruff, who has anchored the program solo since 2016, and will take the reins beginning January 2, 2023.

PBS NewsHour is PBS’ flagship evening television program which is broadcast on more than 350 PBS member stations and member networks, making it available to 99% of the American viewing public. Audio from the program is broadcast by some National Public Radio (NPR) stations.
