Mastodon gained 2.2 million active users between October and November 2022, according to a blog post by its creator.
Eugen Rochko, founder of the interconnected platform of decentralized, self-hosted microblogging sites, said its monthly active users had gone from 300,000 to 2.5 million as more journalists, political figures, writers, actors and organisations move over to the platform.
