L’Oréal ‘denies suspending Twitter ads’
In brief

Cosmetics company L’Oréal has denied a report from the Financial Times that it had suspended advertising on Twitter in the wake of Elon Musk’s takeover of the company.

In an email to Reuters, a spokesperson for L’Oréal refuted the claim.

Last week, General Motors became the first major company to announce it would be pausing advertising on the social media platform.

Amid concerns of a decrease in content moderation under Musk, advertisers have reportedly grown anxious about whether they will be able to safely placing ads on Twitter; IPG and Havas have reportedly recommended their agencies pause advertising.
