Ecommerce during a pandemic

Mediatel Connected’s head of research, Anne Tucker, looks ahead to next week’s Future of Brands and Marketing event and to the launch of a free research paper on online shopping

As consumers adapt to living in the Covid-19 pandemic, some brands are better placed to adapt and even thrive.

Ecommerce has accelerated along with increased media use in the home. Data-driven companies have shown that they can capitalise on these changes, as we’ve seen through the strength of performance for many online retailers, delivery companies and digital entertainment.

At next week’s Future of Brands and Marketing event, Cadi Jones from Beeswax will be moderating a panel of consumer brands on their approach to adapting and thriving in the digital world, including their experience advertising, and why data is providing ecommerce brands with a competitive edge.

This is one session within a packed programme of content across the two days. Running on Wednesday 21st and Thursday 22nd April. You can register today for free access.

To accompany the event, the Mediatel Connected team has created a free whitepaper, “The Positive Impact of Online Shopping“.

It gives a snapshot of the current market in the UK and provides some very interesting insights into different age groups’ attitudes and behaviours, suggesting opportunities for online retailers to capitalise on the demographic groups who are open and ready to shop.

Taking data from Mediatel’s exclusive Connected Screens survey, the full dataset can be found in the award-winning Consumer Surveys app within Mediatel Connected, which provides a visual, comprehensive and unbiased picture of consumer behaviour across rapidly evolving media.
