The UK House of Commons Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) Committee has agreed Damian Green MP will act as chair in Julian Knight’s absence.
Green is the Conservative MP for Ashford and has previously served as Minister of State for Immigration between May 2010 and September 2012, and Secretary of State for Work and Pensions from July 2016 and June 2017.
He has also worked for the BBC, The Times and Channel 4 and held a number of Shadow Cabinet positions.
The previous chair, Julian Knight, had the party whip removed in December 2022 following a complaint to the Metropolitan Police.
