Channel 4 creates special cost-of-living ad break with seven brands

Channel 4 has created a bespoke ad break with Boots, Co-Op, giffgaff, Go.Compare, Lidl, Nationwide Building Society and Vodafone to offer viewers ways to save money or access support during the cost of living crisis.

The ad break will run during broadcasts of Steph’s Packed Lunch and Gogglebox today.

The bespoke break will begin with a short introduction from Channel 4 (pictured, below) saying it will be a special ad break featuring organisations trying to help during this time when food and fuel prices and other costs are rising.

Each brand’s spot will then air one after the other, and conclude with an outro directing viewers to a specially created website with more information and support (pictured, main image).

This follows a special ad break Channel 4 coordinated in 2020 with Aldi, Asda, Co-op, Iceland, Lidl, M&S, Sainsbury’s, Tesco and Waitrose & Partners where the retailers set aside traditional rivalries aside to unite against racism.
